The energy was electric on the trade show floor at the NIGP Forum 2025 in Denver last week. As procurement professionals networked and explored the latest industry innovations, one booth consistently drew crowds throughout the event — Game Show Trivolution’s interactive “Mind Rush” experience.
We’re thrilled to announce that our team just completed the most successful event in our company’s 15-year history! Working with our client A Posteriori, we engaged nearly 200 contestants in just seven hours of floor time at the NIGP Forum, one of the procurement industry’s premier annual gatherings.
“Even during what should have been quiet periods on the trade show floor, our Dueling Kiosks were constantly buzzing with activity,” explains Jim Casey, Chief Entertainment Officer at Game Show Trivolution. “Procurement professionals couldn’t resist testing their knowledge — and their competitive spirits came out in full force!”
When A Posteriori approached us with their challenge — create an engaging game show experience that would combine procurement-specific trivia with general knowledge questions — we knew we needed something special. The answer was Mind Rush, a fast-paced trivia game that we customized specifically for this event.
What made Mind Rush uniquely effective for this trade show setting was its flexibility. We designed the system to easily adjust the ratio of procurement questions to general trivia, ensuring the perfect balance of industry-specific content and accessible fun for all attendees.
“We wanted something that would appeal to seasoned procurement directors while still being engaging for anyone who stopped by,” Casey notes. “Mind Rush let us calibrate that balance perfectly, with about 60% procurement questions and 40% general knowledge.”
Another innovation that kept players coming back: the question format constantly changed. Sometimes contestants saw traditional multiple-choice options, other times they encountered visual puzzles, and occasionally they faced rapid-fire true/false challenges. This variety kept the experience fresh and unpredictable, even for repeat players.
The physical setup played a crucial role in our success. Rather than a single game station, we created “Dueling Kiosks” where two contestants could compete head-to-head in real-time. This format naturally drew crowds as colleagues cheered on competitors and waited for their turn to challenge the current champion.
“The competitive aspect was magnetic,” says Casey. “We’d often see someone walk by, notice a colleague playing, and immediately line up for their chance to prove their knowledge superiority. Before long, we had procurement teams from different organizations good-naturedly trash-talking each other while waiting for their turn.”
According to the 2025 Trade Show Engagement Report by Event Marketer, interactive experiences that create friendly competition can increase booth engagement by up to 73% compared to passive displays. Our experience at NIGP certainly confirmed these findings.
This record-breaking event represents more than just a successful trade show activation — it’s a milestone in our company’s evolution. Game Show Trivolution began in 2010, building on founder Jim Casey’s experience as a DJ and event host from 1997 to 2010 (when he operated as Jim Casey Entertainment).
“When I started as a DJ, I always tried to make events more interactive than just playing music,” Casey reflects. “I’d mix in trivia segments and impromptu games. Seeing that grow into what we accomplished at NIGP — custom-designed game shows that engage hundreds of people and help our clients meet their marketing goals — is incredibly rewarding.”
The company’s journey reflects the broader evolution of corporate entertainment. What once might have been satisfied with background music now demands interactive, memorable experiences that align with specific business objectives.
What made Mind Rush so irresistible to this particular audience? Procurement professionals thrive on finding the right solutions under pressure — a skill set that translates perfectly to our fast-paced trivia format.
“These are people who make decisions quickly based on available information every day,” explains Casey. “They’re naturally analytical, competitive, and detail-oriented. Our game tapped into those exact traits.”
The procurement-specific questions allowed participants to showcase their professional knowledge, while the general trivia created a level playing field where even non-procurement attendees could join the fun. Questions ranged from identifying famous procurement innovations to naming supply chain thought leaders to completely unrelated brain teasers.
The NIGP Forum success highlights the importance of customization in corporate entertainment. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution, we worked closely with A Posteriori to understand their audience, goals, and message.
This approach aligns perfectly with our philosophy at Game Show Trivolution. Whether we’re creating a team-building event in Orlando or entertaining corporate groups in Cocoa Beach, we tailor each experience to the specific audience and objectives.
For trade shows specifically, we’ve found that the right game show format can:
While Mind Rush stole the show at NIGP Forum 2025, it’s just one of several game formats we’ve refined over our 15 years in business. Depending on your event needs, we might recommend:
These games can be deployed for team building, corporate parties, or trade show activations across Florida and beyond, from Ybor City to Wesley Chapel to Bonita Springs.
As we reflect on our most successful event ever, several factors stand out:
“What we’re most proud of is that A Posteriori achieved exactly what they wanted,” says Casey. “Their booth became known as the fun, interactive space on the floor. They collected valuable leads from nearly 200 engaged contestants, and their brand was associated with this positive, high-energy experience.”
The success at NIGP Forum 2025 demonstrates what’s possible when interactive entertainment aligns perfectly with your audience and objectives. Whether you’re planning a trade show presence, a team-building session, or a corporate celebration, Game Show Trivolution can create a custom experience that engages your audience and achieves your goals.
From our roots as a DJ service to becoming Florida’s premier game show entertainment company, we’ve maintained one core belief: interactive experiences create more memorable and effective events than passive entertainment.
